Finishes

A custom home design/build is a complex process that is most successfully completed with thorough planning. So many design decisions must be made and that’s where an experienced professional comes into play. Design decisions are truly personal are widely based on your architectural style, layout/floor plan, want, needs, lifestyle, and budget. We discuss absolute must haves, and selections like siding, roofing, windows, flooring, cabinets, countertops, tile, paint, doorknob styles, etc. Let’s talk about which design decisions will give you the most “bang for your buck,” as well as which high-impact spaces to focus on.

Where Do We Begin?

This is what sets us apart from our competitors. We don’t just collect design information – we develop these ideas, and we design your custom home in-house. There is no back and forth and no secondary person or company to wait for; this saves our clients time and money.

The first design decisions have to do with your vision. As a custom builder, we will help you pinpoint which architectural styles you like, and which stylistic elements will fit well with your lot and neighborhood. We will also develop a floor plan that will best fit your family’s needs and lifestyle.

Design Selections

Now comes the fun part and it’s where your must-haves and your wish-list items come into play.

All selections are needed early because they have an impact on the architectural design as well as the plumbing groundwork and foundation of the home, which happens very early on in the construction process. There are also lead time considerations, especially with Covid hampering the supply chain.

We give you a comprehensive selections guide, (including budgeted pricing targets), customized to reflect the many selections that are needed for your particular home. Our preferred vendors are provided and we will walk with you through the process.
