If you’re going for a luxurious, magical shower experience you’re going to need a shower niche, or two!
I mean, who wants to see all of those messy bottles teetering from the shelves. And a niche certainly looks and feels better than a corner shelf or a shower caddy hung over the shower head.
There are different types of shower niches, serving multiple uses. And, they are a small space where you can make a big impact. Niche’s can really add a little style and flair which can really accentuate the overall design. A niche feels intentional, permanent, and aesthetically pleasing from a design and architectural perspective.
You can feature a special pattern and material in these spaces. So it’s a really great spot to show some style!
We have a couple of different niches in our shower. Some are for product, another is for a eucalyptus plant and candles, and another is functional; a foot niche specifically for shaving.
We want our clients to have a magical niche experience so when working on design, we ask a few important things in order to define size, placement, aesthetic, and functionality.
What will live in the niche?
What size are these item(s)?
Do you want this area to pop or are you looking for a more subtle niche?
These simple questions help us to design the entire bathroom around your custom shower. Think about it. If you need/want a deep niche, we have to consider placement in terms of what’s located behind those walls. Then of course we move into the actual design in terms of material and pattern.
Sometimes clients choose fabulous shower fixtures that really need to be featured. Think about the backdrop of a marble niche to showcase beautiful fixtures.
We want to squeeze out the most functionality and marry that with the aesthetic to create your magical shower space complete with fun, functional niches. Let’s talk about it!
